Louise is a Canadian trained Occupational Therapist (O.T.) having worked in the profession for over 20 years.  She is a graduate of The University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.  

 

As an Occupational Therapist, she began her professional career working in medicine, orthopedics, respiratory,  injury prevention and community home care.  Louise has also worked in private practice case management for clients with orthopedic and soft tissue injuries. While working on the Injury Prevention team at Vancouver Coastal Health, Louise developed a keen interest in staff education, workplace ergonomics and building design.  These skills were futher developed as Louise was the sole Ergonomic Advisor for the BC Cancer Agencies and affiliated programs in BC. In 2006, Louise joined an innovative, newly developed osteoarthritis program at Vancouver Coastal Health as an Occupational Therapy educator.  

 

Louise is passionate about education and she has delivered countless presentiaton to clients, managers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.  Louise's goal is to enable clients to live active, independent lives while reducing the risk of home and workplace injuries through practical ergonomics and sound design concepts.
